Abstract SUBMISSION - Closed!

Participants are invited to submit abstracts no later than 12:th of May 2017 (extende deadline). A word template is provided and can be downloaded here or by clicking the link below. Because all accepted abstracts will be offered for publication in the Scandinavian Journal of Immunology, it is mandatory to write the abstract according to the template. 

Topics and keywords

Abstracts should be submitted to one of these 4 topics: Basic immunology, Tumor immunology, Autoimmunity and Immunotherapy. In the registration form, you will also be asked to specify a subcategory (keyword) that best fits in with your submitted abstract.

1. The given template must be used and can be downloaded here . Follow the instructions on the template and do not modify it.
2. Abstracts must be written in English.
3. Sub-headings (e.g. Introduction, Methods, Results etc) may be included within the word limit. 
4. The maximum number of words in the abstract body text is 250. 
5. References can be included in the abstract but should be part of the main body text and within the word limit. 
6. Papers should be submitted as one single pdf file. Please note the way to name the file.

Submit your Paper

Before you submit and upload your abstract, ensure that you have:
1. Corresponding author details (first and last name, University, Department, telephone, e-mail, Country).
2. The abstract file saved as a pdf and named according to the instruction: 
SSI2017_last name_first name.pdf - e.g. SSI2017_Adamson_Anna.pdf
3. Chosen Topic + keyword.
4. Coauthors details (first, last name, University and e-mail)

Important dates

Abstract submission opens: 15 February 2017
Abstract submission deadline: 12 May 2017 (extended) 
Letters of approval to be sent: 26 May 2017

Travel grants can be applied for from SSI, if you have submitted an abstract to the meeting and if you are a member of an SSI society. You have to be a
PhD student or within five year limit after PhD (with extension for parental leave etc).
Grant size is 300€ for Sweden (host country), 600€ for Denmark, Finland and Norway and 900€ for Iceland.
Application with abstract and CV should be 
emailed to the SSI secretary Professor Eva Sverremark Ekström (immunology.grants@outlook.com) ) no later than 31th of May 2017.


The abstracts will be presented as oral presentations or as posters. You may mark your preferred mode of presentation on the abstract submission form, but the final decision rests with the Programme Committee.

Guidelines for ORAL presentations:

Length: 10 minutes + 3 minutes for questions.

Guidelines for POSTER presentations:

Poster viewing sessions take place on
Tuesday at 13.10-13.50 (WS 1-4)
Wednesday at 13.25-14.00 (WS 5-8).

The size of the poster board is 88 cm (width) x 118 cm (height). Pins will be provided at the poster area.
